Human Impact Response

  • The second pillar focuses on how organizations respond when something significant happens to their people.

    Human impact events include:

    • Workplace or community violence

    • Sudden or unexpected loss (e.g., death of a colleague)

    • Organizational crises

    • Suicide prevention and postvention

    • Burnout, secondary trauma, and compassion fatigue

    This work recognizes that:

    • Operational continuity is not enough

    • There is also an emotional economy inside every organization

Human impact response draws from over a decade of trauma-informed work with:

    • Children and families

    • Organizations and systems

    • Crisis and recovery contexts

    It focuses on:

    • Supporting people in acute moments of distress

    • Strengthening connection and belonging

    • Integrating prevention (not just response)

  • Post adversity support, with immediate coaching, stabilization, and care.
